Cashflow

Dulu, kat UK, hidup bergantung kat elaun MARA bagi every month. Half of it dah kena bayar rent, tinggal half je lagi. Agak2 dalam first 6 months kat Canterbury, Kent memang sangat cheapskate. Asyik nak convert jeee. Masak pulak malas, konon xde cooking stuffs like kuali etc. Capex tinggi tau! So, snack la menjadi pilihan especially ASDA chocolate digestive =_= . Asyik nak convert or tahan nafsu beli barang selalu. Bukan tahan beli barang ZARA ke apa, tapi barang like chocolate milk ke, coklat, ice-cream etc. Dah gi Tesco tu, ternampak benda2 favourite, tapi kena palingkan muka, pikir beratus kali sebab tak nak spend.

Maybe it's my defensive mechanism? Risau duit tak cukup, parents jauh. Tak nak la mintak kan, sepatutnya apa elaun MARA bagi dah cukup. Try to be independent! =) Orang ajak jalan2, tak nak ikut, tak berani nk spend banyak T_T Sedar tak sedar, in a year I save a lot.

Luckily, things get better. Dah boleh agak how I spend each month, takde lah asyik nak convert lagi.Bila fikir balik, agak sedih life camtu. Tapi in that period, rasa okay je. Rasa 'berjaya' (?). Hahahaha. After that, nak Eurotrip ke ape, boleh jee. Haha. Duit saving memang tak cukup eh mak enon nak jalan2 jauh. My summer job helps me through it. ;) Alhamdulillah boleh belanja parent jalan2 Europe. Kerja buruh tau, aka housekeeping. Nasib baik kerja okay , banyak relax hahahaha.

Ni list nak bawak apa masa gi final exam hehe(random)

My saving student style:
1.Food yang boleh buat sendiri kt rumah di galakkan masak je kat rumah. Sebulan 2-3 kali boleh la makan luar. Hehe. Pernah rasa nak beli costa coffee, tapi terus kaburi fikiran dengan kopi yang boleh bancuh sendiri kat rumah haha. Sometimes, it works la =p

2.Instead beli food kat cafe, beli kat supermarket je. Contoh: Croissant and doughnut. Boleh jimat 50% tau ;) Agak2 rasa macam nak macam pastries, after balik from lecture, terus singgah town, pergi tesco sebab nak beli pastries ;p

3. Kalau nak ambil angin kat town, instead of window shopping, sila jalan laju2 depan outlet. Stop only if ade sign SALES =))) bila stop,of coz saya masuk. Bukan masuk beli, masuk tuk window shopping je hahaaha

4. I'm the type yang saving giler2 1st, then later nak beli apa2 takde la ternganga je =p Oh, kalau nak beli, beli masa sale je kalau boleh ;)

Actually, this post is to remind me how much a saving person I was in uni. Sekarang...hmm,belanja tak pikir pasal saving sangat pon =(

MT

Dah nak masuk 3 bulan bekerja, eceyyyy =p . Still training je pon, not really contributing to the company yet.

Oh, as intro, kena la cakap what kind of work I do kan? I'm now a management trainee.

Apa management trainee(MT) tu?
1. Oooo...yang dekat 7-11 tu eh?
2. Yang kat call center eh?
3. Macam intern la eh? Dapat allowance ke?

Ni lah yang org cakap bila saya cakap saya MT.

When I first time dengar MT pon masa kat career fair at Mid Valley but that one under Aeon Co. a.k.a Jusco. Most company ada MT. Depends to the company, for what position they want to groom their MTs. They will receive trainings to make sure they are prepared for their jobs, mostly for 1-2 years. MTs will rotate divisions/department so that the management can assess them and later, put them in division which they performed well or choosed. Depends kat management la, sebab good performance or sebab division tu byk kosong lagi. Ada company panggil MT programme, ada panggil graduate programme, young leadership programme etc. Baru jumpa CIMB, they called it as Complete Banker Programme.

FOR ME,
I am under investment team. So I will rotate in investment team only; equity, fixed income, dealing. It's a one year training. Baru 3 months training in equity division and I did stock research on Philippines port. Other MTs did research on other sectors & countries. Bro, rasa intimidated kot! Selama belajar ni, kita study dengan org yg sama level kan. Mana campur PhD student dengan undergrad student. Semua ada experience in the company. Luckily, we got buddy system. A colleague/buddy is assigned to each MT to help us in our research. They've been very helpful to us! Just last week, I did presentation about my stock research in front of CIO, Head of Equities, Fund Managers & Analysts. Fuhhh, relieved! Luckily CEO had a meeting that day, sumpah gigil kalau dia attend =_=

Free snacks!

Bloomberg training is a part of our training. It's really crucial to know how to use it.(sape rajin, sila google bloomberg =p ) This is the photo of free snacks that we took at Bloomberg training center at KLCC (there's a lot more at their lobby btw, cheapskate btol hhaha). The colourful keyboard is specialised for Bloomberg usage, but you can use it on any desktop too.

For my company, we are groomed to be a dealer(for dealing) or investment analyst(for fixed income or equity). Oh, there's also MT programme in finance department. For the time being, I'm happy with it. I'm not even half way in this programme, but I'll update insyaAllah hihi.

Hidup berkerjaya

Kerjaya? Kerjaya ke?

Kerjaya la sangat.. =D

Still tengah training, so still belum dapat contribute to the company.
Why I said that? Not me, CEO said that. He means no harm to us btw(fresh grad emplooyees). Real comment by him, "I hope you guys can catch up the pace, so that you can contribute to the company faster". Everytime dia masuk office, I can see him. Just because his office is next to my work station. *Tau tak perasaan cuak, nervous when he started a conversation with u?*. He's nice though =)

So basically, almost finish with equity division. Dah letak TP. Hopefully kena la nanti, so boleh cover my mess presentation last week. Hehe.

I wish I can write about my equity training tapi I'll save it for now. Tak larat. Hopefully, I'll write the post b4 I forgot about it ;)
